Holiday musing
I would
like to wish everyone in this world serenity,peace,joy and happiness throughout
the year,as now seems to be the appropriate time to do so.This wish is sincerely
mine to all.I know that this season can be difficult for anyone,but in speaking
to my fellow citizens who deal with their own mental illnesses as well as the
ones we love who rise with us to meet the challenges that may arise.
The friends that I have met along the path of recovery mean so very much to me by teaching me that having a mental illness does not make you a lesser person,rather a fellow human being offering to share that which all mankind has in common-that we are all unique,and the same.We can all love and that in itself is a gift that we can give to others in our own way.
Meanwhile,back at the ranch, my artwork is is becoming quite popular.I have ,at times,sold a piece before it was completed.Now I am saying this with wonder in my spirit,not boastfully.Two years ago,if anyone had told me that I would develope,unearth,this creative creature lying dormant in my self for,well for forever,I would have laughed.If I can build confidence,self esteem,and empathy by this art program,well the entire recovery program,mental health recovery could be possible for all.Season's Greetings . .
